Howard Finney had nothing new to report on preparation but the committees will start meeting after the club’s fall events.

Automotive Swap Meet / Flee Market:

Harvey Eger and Gene Hawk, Co-Chairs for our first annual Swap Meet report there is still a need for hands on help. The meet is scheduled for September 28,29 & 30.at the Westmoreland County Fair Grounds. Areas in need of help fall into the following Swap Meet Committees.

Vendor Services: (Responsibilities)

Vendor Registration/Check-in and Space Assignments

Layout of Streets and Location of Vendor Spaces

Assist Vendors with any problems

Promotion: (Responsibilities)

Oversee printing and distribution of flyers at swap meets, car shows, etc.

Identify publications for advertising/ prepare & submit ads.

Submit information to magazines listing events.

Identify and solicit potential sponsors.

Security/EMS Services: (Responsibilities)

Arrange for security services

Arrange for EMS services

Arrange for trash removal

Arrange for bathroom attendants and porta johns.

Oversee these operations during swap meet.

Parking and Admission: (Responsibilities)

Arrange for personnel to handle admissions and parking

Including personnel to oversee cars parking in the lots

Including personnel working the gate to admit spectators

Arrange for admission tickets & passes and applying stamps for return visitor.

Account for receipts for admission and parking.

Car Corral: (Responsibilities) Chairman - Tom Ulishney

Set up Car Corral

Supervise parking of cars for sale and trailers

Arrange for on site notary to handle paperwork

Arrange for on site banking?

Charlie Schifano suggested that the club assign members to specific support jobs if we don’t get enough volunteers.

Tom Ulishney suggested we approach the Lions Club to see if they would be a food vendor.
