Car Show:

Carol Calabrace the Show Chairperson and President Harvey Eger both reported that the show was again a successful event. The weather was great boosting the turnout over last year’s show. Thanks to the parking crew and judges. Judging is getting more difficult because the participating cars are getting better and better. The girls who ran the Registration and the supporting events such as the Chinese Auction, Bake Sale, “T” Shirt Sale, Water Sale and the 50 / 50 along with the members who supported these efforts are also to be congratulated on a job well done. It was a great show and many of the participants continue to say that this is their favorite show of the year. Overall the show net profit was $2,930.44.  

Christmas Party:

Marianne Caruso and Connie Schifano our Chairpersons for this year’s Christmas Party remind us that the location is Lakeview Lounge and the date is December 1st. Member’s Cost will be $22.00, Guests will be $25.00 and Children $10.00. Registration forms will circulate and be in the Round-Up next month. At the last Board Meeting the Directors set incentives available to the super ticket sellers for the 07 Chance Car.

 Westm’d Fairgrounds Swap Meet:

Our President, Co-Chair of the Swap Meet, reports that the meet is shaping up. Our members are placed in areas to support the event which is scheduled for September 28, 29 and 30. Assignments have been made for Gate Duty, Vendor Support, Sign Distribution, Clean Up, Car Corral, Car Show, Craft Show, etc.

Editor Dick McKelvey will be going on vacation in early October so anything for the October Newsletter should be in to him prior to October 1

Merchandise:

John Kuhns is looking into purchasing a nicer designed “T” shirt. Especially a nicer shirt for our ladies.

National 2010 Founders Tour:

Howard Finney will report on the Windber / Bedford trial tour with the Laurel Highlands, Flood City Regions as a possible event for the 2010 tour in tonight’s program.
