FROM THE EDITOR
Dick McKelvey

September, including the last day in August, was a lot of work. It also provided a lot of satisfaction, it was fun and it sure put our Region out there in front of the public. During my now 7 years as a member I know I have not ever seen such a large number of our members actively participating in club activities. The activities were of course our 45th Annual Paul P. Bell Memorial Car Show and our 2nd Annual Swap Meet, Car Corral and Craft Show.

I really don’t have any idea concerning the actual count of members who participated and worked together in support including those members who organized and directed our efforts. It was a real team effort though and it could not have happened without the effort of everyone involved. When you attempt to conduct events such as these and there are so many people involved, including those of us who are members, as well as participants and spectators there are differences of opinion. There were however, very few problems that had any significance. Everyone involved in the two events can be very proud of the results of their efforts.

Death of Warren E. Sheppick

Our membership was saddened this month to hear of the death of Warren Sheppick. Warren and his wife, Jane were very active members of the Western Pa Region. Before Warren’s battle with his illness became so very severe, he was a regular contributor to our monthly Round-Up, telling us stories of many of the travels he and his wife Jane had taken over the years. You can read more about Warren on our Web Site. Please remember the Sheppick family in your thoughts and your prayers.
