FROM THE EDITOR

How time flies! This is the December 2007 issue of the Round-Up and it seems as though the year has just started. We had a great year with plenty of events in which to participate. Those who have served as the chair positions for our events certainly deserve to be thanked and congratulated for a job well done. We have acquired some new members and certainly are looking forward to participating with them in the events coming in 2008.

The old stand by events such as the Annual Meeting, Kick Off Party, Old Fashioned Days, WPR Picnic, Weatherwood Cruise, Progressive Dinner Tour, The Annual Car Show and the Christmas Party were all great. Those of us who attended the Dublin and Macungie Cruises had a super time. The Chance Car project finished well and was another success. Our New events, the Fun Cruise in July and our 1st ever SWAP Meet in September added two more great events.

The members who attend and make these events happen for us are familiar to all of us because their names appear in almost every issue of the Round-Up. I guess my only other thought is to ask why these events are not attended by 100% of our membership. They are fun and I know in my case this antique automobile hobby has caused me to just about give up on golf which had previously been my big leisure time activity.

In 2008, if you have not been active in WPR activities, why don’t you come out to see how much fun we are having. Your participation will go a long way to ensure that the WPR remains strong and healthy.

Merry Christmas,   Dick McKelvry
