THE CAR SHOW IN REVIEW
By Carol Calabrace

Wow!! What a day we had for our Car Show. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect if we had ordered it. Cars came early and were still coming after registration was over. There were 260 cars packing the show field. Barbara Erny and Mary Ann Brant welcomed those who were pre-registered. Charlie Schifano had the task of giving the drivers their class, as other members, who I can’t begin to list directed them to their class. Registration was in the capable hands of Sally Wirik, Marilyn Stoner, Nancy Vrable, Eleanor Carey and Eleanor Kanick. By the time registration was over, I’m sure they had writer’s cramps. Connie Schifano headed the Bake Sale assisted by Beverly Rusnock and Mary Ann Caruso. There was an abundance of delicious goodies donated by our members. Debbie Sheetz was in charge of lining up various items, again donated by our members for the Chinese Auction. Nancy McKelvey and Joanna Shearer did a great job of peddling the “Cars of Yesteryear” T-shirts Dodie Ulishney, Robin Kanick and Joyce Imhoff wore their legs out walking the show field selling 50/50 the entire day. At 1:00 PM the judges began the difficult task of judging cars. After the trophies were awarded and the cars began to leave, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. The hectic day was over and once again we had a fantastic Car Show. So many people complimented us on the Show. This is because we all worked as a team. I can’t begin to thank the members enough who helped in one way or another. It is because of our members, that as people were leaving, they said “We’ll see you again next year.”  You are what make our Car Show so great. Thanks again to everyone.
